COLOR CHANGE:
Like all tropical species some of these African woods tend to darken over time.
This change in color takes up to a year from the date of installation.

FINSHING:
An oil or water base finish is recommended.  Do not stain these woods.
Available prefinished.

TRIM:
All species have a limited number of moldings and 5/4" rough sawn timbers to match flooring.

MOISTURE CONTENT:
Kiln dried 8 to 10 percent

PACKAGING:
3/4" - 16 pieces per bundle with one length per bundle
1/2" - 20 pieces per bundle with one length per bundle
Each bundle is completely wrapped in a special packaging for protection.

GRADING:
3/4" clear - All vertical grain, quarter sawn
Limited color variation and small character marks.

3/4" Select - Majority vertical grain and quarter cut.
Color can vary from piece to piece.
Limited character marks, no sap.

3/4" Common - Variegated appearance, light and dark colors.  Sapwood and all character marks allowed, giving a rustic appearance after imperfections are filled and finished.

1/2" Select and Better - Approximately 85% vertical grain.  A combination of clear and select grade as noted in 3/4".

1/2" Common - See 3/4"
